You should be able to exit out of fast travel whenever you want. There going for realism right? Thats just me nitpicking though. Great game that I highly recommend.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Surviving Mars are your early unlocks for August's Humble Monthly
If you want a fresh take on RPG's, a game where you have to work at being able to swing a sword, then look no further. Title says it all Should be 5 stars but casuals rage quit early You can tell because the achievement for beating the game is rare. Short swords used for thrusting or using bows are highly useful if you're new.
Also stealth kills and mounted combat are good. The systems are intuitive despite what people say, you just need to practice them. Get it, support this new studio, they are still making dlc and updates. A great rpg with excellent gameplay. Warning, this game is very tough at the start and requires a lot of practice to master certain elements such as lockpicking or just general combat. Don't fret, practice makes perfect. Start small and develop your skills alongside levelling up. Soon no lock will be able to keep you out, no army will be able to fend you off, and you will have earned it all through practicing and honing your skills.
Just remember no great reward comes without sacrifice. Overall great and innovative game that strengthens and broadens what it means to be an RPG. Enjoy the gameplay alot for the most part. Combat isnt as hard as some would have you believe. The original lockpicking is terrifyingly difficult, while simplified feels to easy.
You're a nobody
Bows are hard to get used to, but turn fights into easy mode when you do. Alchemy is great Tedious is the word, but as someone else mentioned it becomes like printing money. So why three stars? The save system. If you are out hunting, you either dont save or use item. Sounds fine, but then we throw in the game crashing, and it becomes a real issue. I find i have to save evey 20 to 30 minute. Its annoying, very much so.
I shouldnt have to buy it from multiple vendors to play on pc and xbox, but this is a newer concept, that can reduce revenue. So this is more of a gripe.

Excuse my english, i went to public school. The game is a challenge. Im playing on hardcore with negative perks that work against me. I have no compass, no map icon, and hardly a HUD. First playthrough also. Just beat the game, and while the experience for the most part was very enjoyable, the end, was hardly an end. Continuity at this point became frustrating and I couldn't convince myself to get the dlc even though it was such a great game, as I will definitely not start over.
Great story and fun game so far love the immersion too and I understand reasoning behind the combat given it's an action rpg so in my opinion only flaw has been the bugs which can be fixed and I'm sure will be. The game stays true to the age and time in history it's based on and influenced by and it's better for it wish more games like it did this and kept their greed and politics out of the equation but real happy with this gem of a game. Nowadays thanks to politics and greed just as with all our popular culture there also has been to much reconstructing and rewriting of Western and European history, culture, and folklore so this is refreshing to see this much respect and care.
I like this game a lot, don't get me wrong but these are the main problems I'm having with it.
I find it literally impossible to fight in any situation with more than one enemy. Also, the fact you can't save the game without an extremely expensive drink is completely dumb. Ok so ive been playing for a while now and yes this game has its downfalls like the lockpicking mechanic which was designed 4 keyboard and mouse and the save system can be annoying at times.
However im still glad i bought it cuz how well the game does other things. I personally like the combat, i love that ur just a normal guy trying 2 come up and make something of urself. The fact that ur choices actually matter and the way the world reacts 2 u is great.
If u liked bioware games like dragon age and mass effect, then ull probably like this game since it does what those games did only a little better. The game isnt perfect and everyones opinion is different but i just want 2 give this game some credit cuz i feel it deserves it.

So this game is fun and awesome to play when it wants to work. I wrote a review when this game first came out and they have fixed a lot but its still broken. I started a new game and got towards the end of part one and finished some side quests to have have the game start crashing every ten mins and crash while loading regardless of how far back I went.

If you like a game you can put a lot of hours into and never finsh this is the game for you. You spend hours doing quests to have the game crash and never be able to fix the issue as no matter how far back you go in your saves the game will just keep crashing and you will just have to start a new game to just waste more time on a main story you will never get finish.
After reading all the low reviews, I noticed a trend. Most people expect all open world RPGs to be exactly like Skyrim and want the game to have absolutely no learning curve. Grow a set and get good. Additionally, expecting a flawless game at launch is simply erroneous. Name one game other than CoD that has been unbuggy on release date within the past couple of years. Great story and medieval atmosphere, but with some technical problems, like low frame-rate, graphic pop-ups and improvable artificial intelligence. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a fantastic and absolutely frustrating experience.
I was treated to a memorable lead character whose agency and development was largely wiped away with a twist late in the game and a collection of incredible gameplay mechanics and quests repeatedly stifled by bugs. Despite its downfalls, though, the good parts of the game are so good. If Kingdom Come: Deliverance has a ton of bug fixing to improve the performance drastically, it could be a hidden gem.
Shimmers of brilliance are there and had it seen more time in the oven, or set its expectations at a more reasonable level, it could have been brilliant and scored significantly higher as a result. Alas, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is another cautionary tale rather than a trend setter. User Reviews. Write a Review.
